This is my first blog from our new netbook - one of those mini-laptop computers that is used mainly for internet and basic word processing. It has a smaller keyboard, but after only typing on it for less than five minutes, my hands adapted to it and it's not so bad.
Casey agonized over the purchase of this netbook. He had his eye on them when they first came out. So when our laptop broke in Colorado, he really wanted to just go out and buy one right away (we are pretty lost without our internet - I had to use the phone book , and printed brochures and talk to the hotel desk clerk to get information about area attractions, so strange!), but we thought we should look into getting the laptop fixed first. Well, as the price to get the laptop fixed surpassed the price of a netbook and we figured out that we could sometimes get the laptop to work if we hooked it up to our desktop monitor (but it's still a bit fickle about when it wants to actually work), we decided to go ahead and get the cute little laptop! But it made us realize that we need to be thinking ahead about our desktop because it's almost eight years old now and Casey configured it himself, so there's no telling when it will decide to just conk out on us.
Well, I'm off for the weekend. Several ladies from my church are taking off on a weekend cruise to the Bahamas! Casey will now be the "primary caregiver" and I think the boys are in for an interesting weekend. I asked Casey to be a guest blogger for me this weekend, but chances are pretty good that he'll be too exhausted to even think about blogging, as I am most of the time. I'm looking forward to the ladies' weekend, but I am going to miss all three of those boys a lot this weekend.
